Zewdu Haileyesus, a structural engineer with more than three decades of work experience, came to the United States from Ethiopia 12 years ago in search of seeking asylum and greater prospects for his household. He handled significant construction and development initiatives in Ethiopia, including road construction, classrooms, and healthcare facilities.  Zewdu graduated with a bachelor’s degree in construction management with a minor in construction from the University of Addis Abeba. Zewdu attended the Ministere de L’ Equipment in France to study urban planning and development. He holds more than five distinct qualifications and licenses, demonstrating his extensive practical knowledge and hands-on ability. He is indeed proficient in Amharic, English, and French (the language of Ethiopia). Although Mr. Haileyesus has lived in Atlanta, Georgia, and Jacksonville, Florida, he still considers Washington, D.C. to be his house since he finds it impossible to leave this amazing city.
